They process them through analogue gear, tape and various other methods to give you a huge range of sounds from classic drum synths like 808, 909, 707 etc. They'll take their Turbo and Ram It Down your Point of Entry, committing Sin After Sin until you're Screaming For Vengeance and needing a Painkiller for your Stained Ass!!!

If you're looking for classic drum machine sounds, check out Goldbaby's drum libraries ( ). What's great about these is that most of the samples are sorted by genre and have a huge range of kicks, snares, cymbals and percussion suited for techno and many many other styles you can mix and match: Zero G also does a huge pack of drum samples, the one I've linked below also contains bass but if you search the site they have separate packs for each drum element if you don't want the bass too. You'll find loads of useful samples in those! They've already been name-dropped, but Wave Alchemy's 'Drum Tools' packs are damn good. 'Raw Techno' is another good one with a more industrial, minimal and dirty sound as compared with the others: Sample Magic also do some awesome drum samples, specifically this pack is great for techno: There's also their 'Ultimate Drum Elements' collection, another pack containing a silly-huge quantity of samples. It includes music loops and other elements other than just drums but from the aesthetic of the demo I'd say most of the sounds in it will be useful to you: In your specified genre there's 'Techno Elements' from them. There's something like 500 different kicks and snares alone, all of which are very usable: 'Leviathan' is an enormous library containing loads of drums, synths and other samples. This is especially pertinent in their kicks which are mostly key labelled and have loads of punch and subby low end, perfect for re-shaping and processing how you'd like to fit any track. What I love about them is that they like to keep the samples somewhat raw sounding which provides a lot of flexibility in sculpting your own sound by blending and processing the sounds to your liking. I'm not sure there's really one definitive pack I would go to, but there are a few companies that create fantastic sounding samples that you can blend for a more unique sound that you can call your own.įor example, Black Octopus Sound have made some fantastic drum libraries.
